Mr West hits the Middle East
After already giving the world his epic 30 minute long Runaway video. Kanye West is placing himself firmly back in the directors seat to create another short film that will be shot in the Middle East. The New York Observer has reported that Kanye has sent members of his creative team out to Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Doha Qatar to meet with film companies to discuss a possible project together. It seems that all three countries are in the process of battling it out in a bidding war in order to win the rights to produce the film.
A source told The Observer, “In Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Doha all of the film initiatives are government controlled. There’s pretty intense rivalry here between Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Qatar. They all want to claim the film as their own and take credit for generating the publicity.” Its a well known fact that when the Louis Vuitton don is involved in anything there’s bound to be a huge amount of publicity.
So who knows will Mr west in the Middle East be something to shout about? If Runaway was anything to go by then we most certainly can’t wait to see how this project turns out.
Rocky Nti x Jakwob x HMV next big thing
We had the pleasure of seeing our little bro Rocky Nti perform along side the Mr dubstep himself Jakwob at HMV’s next big thing the other evening. Rocky was like Britain’s answer to Frank Ocean over dub step while Jakwob provided monster bass and worked some pretty cool hair.
There was also an appearance from the lovely Jetta who provided her elegant yet powerful vocals. Be sure to get tickets for Jakwobs forth coming tour and look out for homie Rocky Nti.
